Summary

In April 1965, the Beaver Island Game Club proposed preparing Iron Ore Creek and Cables Creek for trout planting, distributing mineral blocks for deer, improving directional signs for hunters and tourists, and establishing a posted refuge area for wild geese near Font Lake. The May issue reports a separate Cables Creek water-control experiment using forty sandbags to raise the culvert water 21 inches for pike spawning connected with Lake Geneserath.

Evidence and limits

The April items remain proposals; the May item reports one Cables Creek experiment but not a permanent structure or biological outcome. The issues supply no engineering plans, stocking records, permit files, refuge map, mineral-block locations, or measured wildlife results.
