Summary

The Silver Star was a fishing tug used by William Belfy, his brother Erwin, and a hired hand for commercial fishing from 1915 to 1935, according to William’s 1964 retrospective. A May 1966 Beaver Beacon obituary also names the tug as co-owned by brothers William and Erwin Belfy.

Evidence and limits

The newspaper accounts supply no registry, dimensions, construction date, home port, complete crew list, or later history. The 1964 chronology and 1966 ownership statement are preserved as source-bounded evidence rather than a complete vessel history.
