“Shoemaker’s” is a historical-map locality associated with a Gallagher home in the Sand Bay–Martin’s Point area. Contemporary newspapers independently name John S. “Shoemaker” Gallagher of Beaver Island and, in 1914, locate “Shoemaker Gallagher’s home” in that general area.

Those sources support the personal byname and a residence, but not a formal place boundary or exact parcel. The record therefore has no point geometry. The sources also leave open whether the map meant the elder John S. Gallagher, a later John Gallagher carrying the same byname, or a property succession.
