Summary
The February 1975 Beaver Beacon announced a St. Patrick’s Day weekend at Holy Cross Parish Hall. The March issue reports that the four-day program was completed: a March 14 skating party, a March 15 Altar Society dance, a March 16 Civic Association brunch and snowmobile races, radio and television coverage, and a March 17 Altar Society dinner. Jim Wozan won the main snowmobile race; Richie Gillespie was second and Jim McDonough third. The obstacle race winners were Mark LaFreniere, Richie Gillespie, and Jim Wogan.
Evidence and limits
The February notice is prospective, while the March notice is a completion report. Neither issue supplies attendance, proceeds, a full volunteer roster, or an independent broadcast or race record.
