Summary
Four Central Michigan University summer researchers became stranded overnight on Hog Island in 1965 after high winds and heavy seas forced their 16-foot boat ashore. Coast Guard search parties and CMU’s Chippawa searched by air and sea; the Chippawa crew found the four in good condition on the island’s north end.
Evidence and limits
