Summary
The Beaver Island Forum corpus contains much more than durable local history: humor, aphorisms, personal anecdotes, political reactions, image-only posts, and material copied from elsewhere. This theme is a quarantine ledger for the small residual set that must remain discoverable for archival completeness but does not support a standalone event, person, place, or institutional claim.
Evidence limits
Forum posts are primary evidence for the fact that a user posted something at a given time. They are not automatically evidence that the post’s subject, joke, quotation, allegation, medical claim, travel report, or political interpretation is true. The individual source notes above record those limits and avoid repeating private contact details or unnecessary hostile language.
