Greene family farm
The Greene family farm is a Beaver Island venue named in the post-festival coverage of the 2024 Emerald Isle Irish Féile. That account says the Byrne Brothers performed there, and that the gathering included a hayride, farm tour, and a presentation on the Green(e) family farm’s history. Earlier coverage places the ancestral farm in Greentown, established by White Dan Greene in 1872, and identifies the Greene homestead as a reference point for the nearby Burke Farm.
The newspaper report also attributes a much older local-history account to the presentation: it says the farm was built by “White Dan” Greene and Bridget O’Donnell. A current county parcel on Nig’s Lane is owned by Greene interests and is used here as an approximate candidate locator. The parcel record is a present-day administrative snapshot and does not prove historic title continuity, the exact venue, or the full farm boundary.
