Clinton V. Ballard is identified in the June 1941 conference announcement as a County Agent Leader who would play an important part in the County Agents Summer Conference at Beaver Island. Subsequent local reports identify him as a Michigan State Extension leader and later as the Extension Service director.1

The conference report supplies initials, surname, professional title, and one conference connection. Subsequent reports establish the full name and Extension career, but none supplies a birth or death date or confirms attendance at the announced conference.
