Summary
The March 1975 Beaver Beacon published Patricia Nelson’s letter urging Michigan’s governor, senators, and representatives to retain boat sewage holding-tank requirements. Drawing on her family’s reported fifteen summers at a Sand Bay cabin, Nelson described changes in minnows, shoreline sludge, alewife die-off concerns, and perceived improvement in 1973 and 1974.
