The October–November 1972 Beaver Beacon announced Linda Arden’s engagement to Kevin McDonough, son of Captain and Mrs. Lawrence McDonough of Beaver Island. It says McDonough was in his third year at Ferris State College studying Architectural Drafting and that a September wedding was planned.

Evidence and limits

The 1972 notice does not specify the planned wedding year, but the September–October 1973 issue reports a September 15 wedding. Kevin’s episode-qualified record is kept separate from the earlier 1972 Ferris graduation record because the notices create an unresolved chronological and identity conflict.
