Summary
On January 10–11, 1975, southwest winds reported at 60–70 mph raised water levels several feet and produced unusually high seas in Beaver Island harbor. The Beacon reports gas tanks and de-icing equipment washed from docks, a work barge moved onto a lawn, the 28-ton Eager Beaver landing craft washed sideways, trees blown down, and Iron Ore Creek cutting around its bridge and washing out the road.

The report is a contemporaneous community account, not a meteorological or engineering log. It does not establish final damage totals, repair dates, or the later condition of the docks, road, creek crossing, or vessels.
