Summary

On June 11, 2014, PSJA warned that falling limbs and whole trees made some of its walking trails dangerous after the severe winter and beech-tree disease. On June 17 it reported that Little Font Trail near the Stable Campgrounds had been cleared and reopened, while caution remained necessary on other trails.

Evidence limits

This is a direct land-manager safety and maintenance notice. It does not identify every closed trail, quantify tree loss, or establish that the entire trail system was subsequently cleared.

Open questions

  • Which PSJA trails besides Little Font Trail were posted closed after the 2014 storm and beech-tree damage?
  • Were the remaining trails eventually cleared, and when?

If you can answer any of these, or correct anything above, the archive wants to hear it — see Corrections.
