Summary

In May 2026, Peaine Township and the Charlevoix County Road Commission completed a project intended to clarify the boundaries and public access at Mike Boyle’s Beach. The Supervisor’s announcement says the Road Commission conducted a formal survey, after which the Township installed split-rail fencing, signs, and a barrier for the trash receptacle and dog bags; the Road Commission supplied gravel for five parking spaces moved away from the roundabout.

Evidence limits

This is a first-party township completion announcement and is stronger evidence of the reported work than an ordinary resident post. It is not the survey, construction log, deed, easement, or adjudication of property rights, so this record does not independently establish the legal boundary or resolve every public-access question.

Sources

  1. Peaine Township Supervisor reports that the Road Commission completed a formal survey, Peaine installed split-rail fencing and a trash/dog-bag barrier, signs were installed, and five parking spaces were created with Road Commission gravel. The post is a first-party completion announcement, but the survey or construction records are not held here.
