Summary
At its January 18, 1973 meeting, the Beaver Island Medical Auxiliary received a progress report from Dr. Joseph W. Christie. The report says St. James and Peaine Township Boards had approved the Medical Center constitution and bylaws, which provided for a seven-member board selected by the townships, Civic Association, and Auxiliary. A tentative addition included five beds and two emergency rooms, while funding paperwork was being prepared.
