  1. The organizers invited volunteers to remove spotted knapweed on July 11. A July 12 thank-you reports Kalamazoo College faculty and students and island residents worked for three hours, removed a large amount, and hauled a truckload with Transfer Station assistance. This is organizer-reported work completion, not an independent ecological measurement.
