Summary

On August 16, 1992, Richard Stone’s Cessna 175-A made an emergency landing on the rocky beach of uninhabited Gull Island after an engine failure. Richard and Linda Stone were taken to Traverse City by U.S. Coast Guard helicopter; the Beacon reported no injuries, although the aircraft’s nose gear was damaged.
