Summary
The February 1969 Beaver Beacon reported that winter snowmobile trips gave Game Club members and others a broad look at Island game conditions. Turkey groups were difficult to find, while Karl Kuebler maintained feeding stations. Rabbits were said to be up but difficult to hunt through deep snow. Perch fishing remained slow, while bluegills and pike were being caught in inland lakes.
The report also described the deer herd as numerous and in good health and reported a coyote hunt near Donegal Bay by Roy Chambers and Roy Vincent.
