Summary
The May 1957 Beaver Beacon reported that two Conservation patrol boats arrived May 1 with five Conservation workers and equipment to begin two public campsites: one on the North Arm of Lake Genesareth and one at Sand Bay south of McDonough’s Cabins. In June, the paper reported that the Sand Bay site was under construction, with its access road graded, surfacing imminent, and rest rooms, water, electricity, tables, and benches on order. In August, it reported the Lake Genesareth fishing site completed with signs and a boat ramp, and the Sand Bay state campsite in use while well drilling preceded its water and restroom work.
Evidence and limits
These are reported start-of-work, construction-progress, and early-use notices, not a complete agency project record. They do not identify the boats, provide permits or designs, establish full campsite completion, or document operating statistics.
