Summary

On August 12, 1973, the Beachcomber Last Calls women defeated Chuck’s Marathon of Petoskey 6–5. The men split a doubleheader with Charlevoix Townhouse, losing 15–5 and winning 16–4; Mike Green pitched the win, with home runs by Delbert Kelly, Richie Gillespie, and Buddy Martin. On August 19 the Beachcombers split with Harbor Inn of Harbor Springs, losing 15–7 and winning 16–6. The report names Mary Gillespie, Art Reibel, Mike Green, and Mason as pitchers and says the August 12 games were broadcast by radio for the first time.
