A current board at the Y, carrying the island trail map, a legend keyed by coloured diamond, per-trail endpoint coordinates, a QR code and a GPS Coordinates panel.
That panel matters to this archive. Its entries A to N were read off this photograph and compared against the transcription of the 2015 printed sheet held in scripts/make_trail_map.py: all fourteen are identical to the second of arc. The transcription the archive has been drawing maps from is confirmed against current signage on the ground, rather than assumed.
The board also gives endpoint coordinates for routes the archive carries only as names — the Kuebler Trail’s north and south ends, and the west end of Little Sand Bay — and marks both the Kuebler Trail and the 7 Bridges route Pedestrian Only.
The board is the work of the Beaver Island Trail Association and the Michigan DNR. This photograph records what it states on the ground; it is not a licence to its contents.
