Evidence and limits
The source calls this Roen’s first boat, while the December 1970 Beaver Beacon calls the earlier 65-foot Schnoton his first vessel. Both claims are retained without deciding whether “first” means first ever, first built, or first in a particular phase of his career. The vessel is not merged with John Roen’s son Marquis, who is separately named in the same obituary.
