Summary

Ron Wogan is named as one of the two people who pulled eight-year-old Timmy Turner from Saint James Harbor in the August–September 1971 Beaver Beacon. This is a probable episode duplicate of Ronald “Ron” Wojan, the Wojan-spelled record documenting the same man’s civic and building career, where the fuller biography is kept.

Evidence and limits

The rescue notice itself gives no full name, age or family record. The identification rests on the shared given name, the shared island civic circle (Wojan/Wogan is renominated to the Civic Association board in the December 1974 notice cited above, three years after this rescue), and the Beacon’s documented practice of spelling this family’s surname both ways. It is not an explicit statement in either source. His fellow rescuer, Jim Wogan, is a probable further member of the same family; see Jim Wogan.
