Summary

Robert Armstrong, born July 16, 1961, was the son of Robert Armstrong of Battle Creek and Marjory (Martin) Armstrong, and a younger sibling of Jo Lynn Armstrong.

Evidence and limits

Not the same person as his own father, who shares his name. The August 1961 notice states: “Mr. and Mrs. Robert Armstrong announce the birth of a son, Robert, on July 16th. The Armstrong’s are from Battle Creek and the mother is the former Marjory Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martin of St. James.” This identifies the newborn’s parents as the same “Mr. and Mrs. Robert Armstrong” who announced Jo Lynn Armstrong’s birth in May 1960, making this newborn Jo Lynn’s brother, not their shared father. This is a newspaper-only identity record beyond that parentage.
