Experiencing a sudden loss of life is always devasting, though as fellow Great Lakes islanders, we appreciate how it must be extra hard for your close-knit island community and all others who are affected. We recognize that the ferry and air transportation links are critical, but sometimes fragile, links to our way of life. Though we come from different islands, today we stand with you “as islanders” in support and sorrow through this difficult time. Sincere"
