BEAVER ISLAND HISTORICAL SOCIETY Keeping Island History Alive 1957 Beaver Island - A Story of Place Wednesday, July 21 · 7:00 – 9:00pm Beaver Island Print Shop Museum A Museum Week event presented by the Amik Circle Society of Beaver Island At 7:00 pm, there will be a showing of the documentary, “America’s Ancient Industry, Part II - Travel Routes”. The film was directed by Robert Kreipke, historian and former film maker for Ford Motor Company and debuted in 2018. The film explores possible migration routes of ancient peoples who may have traveled the Great Lakes 4,000 to 7,000 years ago. The film features Beaver Island, its inhabitants and visiting historians. Following the 56-minute film, there will be a panel discussion led by the Amik Circle Society members and invited guests.
