Summary
On March 8, 1888, the Charlevoix Journal announced a planned Lou A. Cummings route between Charlevoix, St. Ignace, and Mackinac Island by way of Cross Village and Beaver Island. The notice described three trips per week from the opening of navigation until July 1.
