Summary
For the 1973 season, Russell Green became captain of the motorship Beaver Islander after fourteen years as purser and assistant skipper. Kevin McDonough was listed as deckhand and Jerry LaFreniere as engineer. Lawrence McDonough, after seventeen seasons as skipper, became business manager, succeeding the retiring James W. Gallagher. Beginning June 16, the paper announced two daily Charlevoix departures at 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
