Summary
In June 2003, the Beaver Island Wildlife Club and volunteers built and lined a walleye-rearing pond at Applewood, filled it from a well, and planned to raise 25,000 to 40,000 fingerlings for Lake Geneserath. The July report said the two-inch fingerlings were thriving despite predator pressure.
Evidence limits
The newspaper reports a planned stocking and a later observation, not an independent construction inspection, stocking count, survival study, or confirmed release outcome.
