Summary
The October issue prints the Michigan Loon Preservation Association’s August 17, 1989, response to Beaver Island’s proposed Fox Lake walleye stocking. The association warns that increased fishing activity could harm traditional loon nesting habitat and recommends Lake Geneserath as a better stocking site.
Evidence limits
This is a conservation recommendation and the Wildlife Club’s report, not a completed stocking decision, fisheries dataset, or confirmed loon census.
