Summary

In January 2011, the Beaver Island Volunteer Corps reported that the Cottage for Karen had completed drywall and rough electrical and plumbing work, with fixtures still needed. By March, flooring was being installed and kitchen cabinets were due. In June, the organizer scheduled a hoped-for final work day for July 9, described remaining finish carpentry and materials, and said donations had brought the hardware-store bill close to paid. On July 8, she reported that electricity had been connected and that trim and cabinetry work remained.
