Three writers from Indiana spent a week on Beaver Island in September 2011 for a writing retreat. They worked on a space opera, a women’s-fiction novel, and a fantasy story, set a goal of ten pages per day, and used the island’s landscape, museums, shops, and conversations as part of the experience.
