Summary
The March issue reported that TDS’s on-Island work was complete and that Beaver Island DSL sign-ups were being accepted. Residential service was listed at $39.95 for 1.5 Mbps downstream and $49.95 for 3 Mbps; business tiers and additional support features were also described. TDS continued to caution that distance sensitivity could exclude some customers initially. By October, a resident reported that the published East Side Drive boundary still excluded 30910, while another user described receiving approximately 1.5 Mbps down and 400 kbps up. Those accounts illustrate the boundary’s practical effect but do not establish a complete coverage map or measured island-wide performance.
