Summary
The Strang Writers’ Group scheduled a May 21–23, 2004 program on Beaver Island. Its agenda combined readings and writing discussion with public-history questions about James Jesse Strang, future Strang studies, and the 2006 sesquicentennial of Strang’s death.
Program
The group planned to meet at the Emerald Isle Hotel, visit Island sites and other islands by boat if weather permitted, develop a mission statement, and read John Baldwin’s play. The notice invited participants to call the listed Island number.
