Summary

The March 1968 Beaver Beacon gave a Lackland Air Force Base address for Jack Martin, who had entered the Air Force that month, and printed Ernie Martin’s thanks to friends who had sent cards, letters, prayers, and packages during his hospitalization. The “Aboard Ship” column reported Phil “Don” Burke’s April 1 return to the Henry Phipps and Archie Minor’s March 29 return to the D. G. Kerr. The April issue gave Paul LaFreniere’s Fort Dix address and reported that Ernie Martin was home on leave until April 28. The May–June issue added new assignments and addresses for Daniel Gallagher, Arthur Gallagher, Kenneth Huston, and James Huston. The September issue reported Jack Martin home on a 20-day Air Force leave and gave new addresses for Ronald Gallagher, Arthur Gallagher, and Francis Martin. The October issue printed a broader address list for island-connected servicemen, including members of the Gallagher, Martin, Huston, McCann, DeVogel, LaFreniere, Raymond, and Egbert families. The December issue reported Paul LaFreniere home on leave and printed his new Fort Carson address.
