In October 2016, a Beaver Island notice circulated the regional “Septic Question” project’s final report and survey. The project examined septic-system policies across the watershed and presented options for local governments to consider in protecting Lake Charlevoix, Lake Michigan, and connected waters.
The archived forum post documents local circulation of the public-consultation request; it does not establish that Beaver Island adopted any recommendation.

- The notice relayed a final report from a grant partnership between the Health Department of Northwest Michigan and Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council, funded by MDEQ, and invited public comment on septic-policy options for the watershed. The forum post is a relay; the report itself is not held in this archive.forum · www.beaverislandforum.com · 10 · t010945
