Summary
The Beaver Island Property Owners Association reported that the 2007 Phragmites project had enough money to treat all publicly owned coastal wetlands and private shoreline for which permission was given. The report credited township, state, contractor, and shoreline-owner participation; it said 150 of 733 shoreline owners contributed and gave a final contracted cost of $650 per acre.
Evidence limits
This is the Association’s account as printed by the Beacon. It does not supply an independent treatment map, a complete donor list, or a later assessment of eradication results.
