Summary
Peaine Township’s master-plan process reported that residents generally favored keeping the island rural and wooded, ranked environmental protection first among the issues, and supported continued public participation. Other findings addressed minimum lot sizes, state-land access, road surfaces and dust control, fire-station and EMS space, and the future of the township airport. The same June account describes a draft Environmental Protection section, sample ordinance, and color-coded maps ranking twenty-four areas by danger.
Evidence limits
The April and June articles present summarized preferences from study groups, not a final adopted master plan, binding zoning rules, or a statistically documented survey.
