Summary
The February 2003 Beaver Beacon’s “On This Date” column revisited Island news from 1993, 1983, 1973, and 1963. The retrospective covered school construction and a road rally, a place-name dispute and an ice crossing, a car lost through harbor ice, wildlife and mail history, and earlier winter, fishing, political, and school-community notes.
Evidence limits
This is a later newspaper retrospective that summarizes earlier issues; it is not a substitute for the original 1963–1993 Beacon issues.
