Summary

The April 2008 Beaver Beacon reprinted April 1908 notices that the steamer Beaver was being fitted out, Lake Michigan navigation had opened after the ice disappeared, and the vessel had begun Island trips. A later notice gave a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule through June 1.

This is a reprinted historical newspaper account, not the original vessel log, navigation notice, schedule sheet, or independent weather and ice record. The date is indexed only to approximately April 1908.
