Summary
In April 2015, a Beaver Island veterinarian used the forum to report Lyme- positive animal screening results, discuss black-legged tick identification and prevention, and propose public education. The Community Center subsequently promoted a May 18 tick and Lyme-disease presentation. In April 2022, the same veterinarian reported additional canine Lyme concerns and announced plans for more testing on a return visit.
