Summary
Robert Trudgeon’s March 2008 letter argued that climate and evaporation were not the only contributors to declining Lake Michigan–Huron levels. He urged a substantial reduction in Port Huron outflow and presented that position as the necessary action for a rebound in lake levels.
Evidence limits
This is a published opinion letter, not a hydrologic study, Corps decision, engineering analysis, or evidence that the proposed intervention was adopted.
