Summary
Mary Morley Milling’s recollection, submitted through summer resident and history student Joyce Bartels, places the schooner Jennie Weaver at Beaver Island during the Good Friday 1912 storm and says a wire later confirmed that the vessel and everyone aboard were safe.
Evidence limits
This is a 1981 retrospective family memory accompanying a 1910 photograph, not a vessel registry, logbook, or contemporaneous storm report.

- A retrospective account says the two-masted Jennie Weaver was owned by John A. Morley and Capt. George A. Fisher of Harbor Beach, carried lumber for a Port Huron dealer, and lay at Beaver Island during the Good Friday 1912 storm. A false loss report was corrected two days later by a wire from Capt. Fisher saying all were safe at Beaver Island. The account also remembers Bertha Fisher as cook and the ship's dog Ring carrying notes ashore.
