Summary

The Beaver Island home-weatherization effort moved from a 2009 proposal into local intake in January 2010. Chuck Riley met with interested residents and contractors at the Community Center, visited homes for preliminary inspections, and worked toward qualifying local contractors. The reported program scope included insulation, air sealing, weather stripping, equipment tune-ups, and in some cases replacement of furnaces, water heaters, or refrigerators. A February update scheduled a pre-inspector’s return for March.

Evidence limits

This record documents program outreach and preliminary inspection activity, not completed weatherization, household eligibility determinations, contractor awards, spending, or measured energy savings.
