Summary
During a July 1, 1956 storm and fog, the 36-foot fish tug Gopsy went aground in shoal water off Hog Island with eight Charlevoix fishermen aboard. The July Beaver Beacon reports provisions, air support, an overnight search, and a joint Coast Guard effort that freed and towed the tug to Charlevoix.
