Between August 8 and 19, 2013, Beaver Island Forum participants reported a large brown eagle near Donegal Bay and subsequent sightings around Gull Harbor, Sucker Point, Allen’s Lakeview, and Lake G. Several observers interpreted the bird as a golden eagle, while also noting bald eagles in the area.
