Summary
The March 1969 Beaver Beacon reported that rabbits had been only lightly reduced by the season, ice shanties were being stored until the next year, and deer were leaving their winter yards in excellent condition. Little ice on Lake Michigan suggested that spring was approaching.
Evidence and limits
These are newspaper observations, not an official harvest, population, or fisheries dataset.
