Summary

On June 6, 1964, the Beaver Beacon reported the North Shore towing “Tanker 2” into Beaver Island harbor with fuel oil and gasoline. The cargo was unloaded into two large storage tanks that Jewell Gillespie had installed beside the Power Plant.
