In 2008, Beaver Island’s free electric-vehicle convenience-charging network expanded beyond the three businesses identified as participating in 2007. Organizer Dan Wardlow announced new or planned sites at Island Airways, the Central Michigan University Biological Station, and Inland Auto EV. By May he reported that Island Airways was operating and described the network as six stations in total.
