Summary

Frank Left contracted with Capt. Silas Swales in December 1913 for a new 55-foot fishing tug. The historical reports reprinted by the Beaver Beacon follow its construction through February and March 1914 and report in April that the outside planking was complete and a May 1 launch was expected.

Evidence limits

The later reprints establish the launch and fitting-out report but do not document the vessel’s final commissioning, later service history, or survival.
