Summary
Rev. Edward G. Donahoe, a Flint parish pastor retiring because of progressive hearing loss, purchased a stone house on Beaver Island in 1969. The March Beaver Beacon reported plans to convert one room into a chapel and hopes that rest on the Island might improve his condition. The July issue thanked Islanders who helped him move and reported that he was using Holy Cross Church for daily Mass while preparing the home chapel.
Evidence and limits
The report describes a plan and purchase but does not establish the final assignment date, deed, or later residence.
